STATE COLLEGE, PA — April 24, 2025 — Rising independent artist SlickkLando is turning another page in his story — and he’s doing it right in the middle of Penn State. This weekend, he returns with the second installment of his self-made showcase, “Invading the Valley Pt. 2,” a student-run event that’s redefining what the college music scene can look like when real energy meets real execution.
Originally sparked by a simple idea between Lando and longtime creative partner DJ JA during homecoming season, Invading the Valley has grown into a full-fledged movement. The goal? Bring that NYC and Philly nightlife energy to State College and give independent artists a platform that actually looks and feels like something big.
What to Expect at Pt. 2?
This time, they’re leveling up. Viral artist and content creator Famous.Wooda will be headlining, alongside four surprise performers (still under wraps). Lando will be performing new music — including unreleased heat — and shooting the official video for his upcoming single “Throw It,” dropping this May.
Why It Matters
Slickk Lando’s journey from open mics to viral moments with The Mocha Room, After Hours, and Blades and Bars has been anything but overnight. Born in New Jersey and raised on gospel, soul, and emotional club beats, his sound fuses feel-good energy with real storytelling. Think early Fetty Wap meets Drake with a student-hustler twist.
Now based in Pennsylvania, Lando has turned Penn State into his testing ground — from performing in front of Lil Yachty and NLE Choppa, to becoming a local favorite through homegrown performances and digital buzz. His upcoming debut project, Heartbreak University, is set to capture that full-circle moment.
Who’s Behind It
Invading the Valley Pt. 2 is being produced by a tight-knit collective of student and independent creatives: Blu Ent, DJ JA, DJ Quadir, Swerve ENT, and JSB2REELS — all working together to pull off something most student-led teams can’t.

“We’re building more than a party — this is a movement. ‘Invading the Valley’ represents what happens when student talent, ambition, and culture collide. WE ARE PENN STATE.” – SlickkLando
