Lil Twin from Dayton, Ohio has mastered the art of Trap, R&B, Soul, Pop, and Reggae. Lil Twin cannot be categorized under a certain category. The independent artist has zero limitations on where he can go with any beat. Lil Twin does not pursue music solely on the fact that he wants to. Music is literally what he bleeds and breathes. Lil Twin is able to write, record, and engineer all of his own music. Although Lil Twin is influenced by artists that are currently running the Hip-Hop game such as Drake, Lil Wayne, and Future, he is still able to make himself known and stand out in the industry.
Where do you currently live and why did you choose to move there?
I currently live in the United States. [It’s] hard to say 1 city when I’m literally in another city every other week- primarily Atlanta, Los Angeles, Houston, and Miami. I moved to Atlanta because my mother was fed up with the crime activity and lack of opportunity to grow & defy an empire in our small hometown Dayton.
What genre would you classify yourself under? Describe your sound.
All genres. I literally mastered the art of Trap, Conscious music, R&B, Soul, Pop, Reggae, & plenty others. [There are] No limitations to where I can go on a beat. My sound/style is very unique, diverse, heart felt, authentic, and you can just feel the pain & experience I’ve endured behind every word and song.
Why did you choose to pursue music as a career? What inspired you?
I’ve been passionate for music for as long as I can remember. From performing my guts out in the backseat of my moms car to her playlist, to local school talent shows, and so on.I’m honestly just inspired by good music alone. [There is] Not a certain genre/artist. I try to blend them all and cook my own unique formula.
Where do you gain your motivation?
My motivation came directly from the struggle. I didn’t choose to be born into poverty, but I did have a choice to do something about dying broke. [It] Wasn’t an option. I do what I do for my family and genuine loved ones, so whoever reads this, you know who you are.
Who do you plan on impacting or inspiring?
I am seeking to impact the entire world that the lifestyle I obtained didn’t come from trying to be too hard nor too corny. Just a fine line of respect, intelligence, home training, & a dab of some gangster shit when necessary. With that formula, the sky ain’t even the limit.
What do you think makes you stand out from other current artists?
I know for a fact my look, style, and diversity is totally incomparable to other artists. My ability to song write, direct videos, sing, and rap is out the water. I really bleed music. I don’t do this because I want to, I do it because music is literally what I breathe.
What can fans expect from you in the next couple of months?
I’m currently working on the next few projects. [I’m] Forever in album mode. Even if I just dropped a new album, I’m back in the studio working on the next. I’m probably about 3 albums ahead right now. I want to be up 10.
