On Wednesday, June 30, Moneybagg Yo released his music video for “Wockesha,” featuring Lil Wayne.
The video starts with Moneybagg facing the mirror while hearing Lil Wayne’s 2009 interview sample, where he infamously responded to Tim Westwood to “not worry about what’s in his cup” when asked if he was still drinking lean. Then, to a well-known melody from The Notorious B.I.G.’s 1995 track “One More Chance,” Moneybagg falls into a deep high.
The video, co-directed with Ben Marc, captured Moneybagg having a day out with his purple-haired girlfriend. However, things become apparent when other people see him walking around with a giant styrofoam cup with the name Wockesha written on it. This analogy becomes more evident in the video’s closing moments, where Moneybagg finally falls into the cup.
Just a week before the music video release, Moneybagg Yo was issued a challenge by NLE Choppa on Twitter: “I Have A New Challenge For Rappers. For Every Pint of Lean Or Even Alcohol, Drink A Pint Of Chlorophyll. I Wanna Start By Challenging @MoneyBaggYo I’ll Bring This To You Personally Fam Order Here: https://nlehealthandwellness.com #Chlorophyllchallenge,” he wrote in a tweet featuring his video P.S.A.
Moneybagg agreed to the challenge with a handshake emoji.
