Melodic is an independent artist who is not afraid to say what’s on her mind throughout her music. The Florida artist gravitates towards making music that delivers feel-good vibes while sharing her truth with her listeners. She started making music in 2015 which initially started out as making songs for fun. When she creates music, it’s like she is painting pictures with words. What inspired your artist name?
My name was given to me and I’ll never forget the day. I played the EP for my fam and he fw it. Said it sounds Melodic, I was like yea Melodic. Lol, from there that was it.
What is YOUR genre?
Rap/R&B/Melodic Trap (I get on trap beats, I don’t live a trap life)
What is the first step in your creative process?
Meditating. It’s really nothing deeper than that. As long as I’m in a setting that allows me to relax then it’s a go for the creative juices to flow.
Aside from music do you have any side hobbies?
Hobbies? Working out, being active. Taking my kids out for new experiences. I enjoy children’s development, it’s awesome watching them grow and being part of it.
If you could collab with one person in the industry who would it be and why?
Lauryn Hill, because who does she collab with really? Who would she? It would be an honor… Or Jamie Foxx, I think we would great music. I would want to work with artists who retired and bring them to this new sound. A way to bring back the old R&B/Soul/Rap mix it with the new sound. Let’s do it! Do it for the culture!
