Markas Proves West Coast Dominance Is ‘Not Enough Years’ In New Album

Markas is back on his grind with Not Enough Years, a 12-track body of work that hits like a life recap with bars. The West Coast spitter doesn’t just rap—he peels back layers, letting you in on the struggle, the bounce-back, and the lessons that made him sharper. This ain’t just another drop—it’s a checkpoint in a journey still unfolding.

From the jump, he’s unloading pain and pressure. Tracks like “Not Enough Years” and “Dependents” sound like therapy sessions over beats. No cap, Markas ain’t asking for pity—he’s speaking truth with weight. His pen stays heavy, weaving pain and growth into every line. When he flips the vibe on “Scream,” the energy shoots up, but he still keeps it real. It’s the kind of record that moves the room while saying something.

The production lineup is airtight. Gerald “The Sound” Keys, Ulisses, Brixxisking, and Marc-Easy lace Markas with beats that range from cold and moody to cinematic and bass-heavy. The sound doesn’t chase trends—it builds a world. The beat on “Glitch” cuts deep while Markas delivers one of the rawest lines on the album: “At 16 I was locked in that cage, huh / And I ain’t been back since, I been harder to catch since.” That’s not rap cap—that’s real-life scars.

Markas says this one wraps up his “years” series. Every drop before this was a chapter—this is the book’s final page. But instead of closing the story, he zooms out. He’s realizing time’s limited, so he’s moving with intention now.

Standouts like “Blitzkrieg” and “M Series” show both sides of his style. One’s gritty, the other smooth, but both hit with purpose. He rides the beats like a vet, never losing his voice in the mix.

Not Enough Years ain’t just a project—it’s a statement. Markas ain’t following nobody’s blueprint. He’s carving out his legacy bar by bar.
