Long Beach’s Finest Unite: Tray Deee Joins Donzelly and Corey Cail in Stellar “9217” EP Intro

Born and bred in Long Beach, artist Donzelly’s childhood was illuminated by the legacy of his father. Hailing from a city that has produced some of the greatest rappers of all time – from Snoop Dogg to Nate Dogg, Donzelly’s roots run deep in the rich West Coast rap culture of Long Beach. Drawing inspiration from the enduring creations of iconic albums such as “Get Rich Or Die Trying” and “The Documentary”, as well as the visionary legacy of the late Nipsey Hussle, Donzelly’s music resonates with the spirit of West Coast greatness.

On his latest release, Donzelly has teamed up with Long Beach producer Corey Cail to deliver a collaborative EP titled “9217”. With an impressive track record of platinum and gold production credits for artists such as Money Man, Young Dolph, Wale, and Eric Bellinger, Corey’s talents have been sought after by some of the biggest names in the industry. The collaboration between Donzelly and Corey Cail on “9217” highlights the skill and talent that has come out of Long Beach, as the two artists bring their unique styles and experiences to the table.

The “9217” EP consists of six tracks, each one showcasing Donzelly’s ability to weave his life experiences into his music while remaining true to the legacy of West Coast rap. Fans can expect to hear a fresh take on classic sounds, with beats that would make Dr. Dre proud and lyrics that resonate with anyone who has ever hustled or worked hard to achieve their dreams.

One of the standout tracks on the EP is the legendary Intro from rap legend Tray Deee from notable rap group Tha Eastsidaz. The gritty, raw delivery and unmistakable flow of Tray Deee immediately grabs your attention and sets the tone for the rest of the project. The track is a testament to the unity and respect that is shared between rappers from Long Beach, as Donzelly pays homage to one of the city’s most iconic artists.

In “City of Angels”, Donzelly reflects on the challenges he has faced in his life and the determination he has to overcome them. The poignant and introspective lyrics are delivered with an honesty and vulnerability that is rare in today’s rap scene. “Turn You On” also showcases Corey Cail’s ability to create a beat that perfectly complements the mood and message of the lyrics.

Overall, “9217” is a project that showcases the talent and skill of two artists who are deeply connected to the culture and history of Long Beach. With each track, Donzelly and Corey Cail prove that they are able to seamlessly blend classic sounds with modern styles, creating a project that is both nostalgic and fresh. The EP is a must-listen for anyone who loves authentic West Coast rap and wants to support artists who are keeping that legacy alive.
