In the midst of gaining exposure, Kydd Ru is absorbing each step into the spotlight. Born into a family of similar talents, Kydd Ru followed the footsteps that were present before him, “My musical inspiration ranges from a multitude of things from my family being musically inclined; witnessing my grandfather DJ at a young age as well as my own Father perform live shows,” he states. Falling into the categoric sound of Hip-Hop and Rap, Kydd Ru uses himself as his own inducement to stay afloat, “No one is going to motivate you like you do yourself.”
With over 25 singles out and available, Kydd Ru is responsible for all the lyrics you hear. “I write all of my own music” he confirms, “Because it’s not fabricated. It’s authentic, thorough, beyond original.” With the help of his in-house engineer Devin (@GrandTrapidsInc), Kydd Ru holds all of his projects to the same value with none to claim as a “favorite”, but all as a symbol of his artistry.
Pushing himself to go harder and do better than before, Kydd Ru is currently in the process of creating a new EP that will soon be made available for you to check out. “I enjoy the influence I bring to others allowing them to feel comfortable to be themselves”, he says.
