Atlanta’s Hip-Hop music scene has never lacked colorful personalities and bold storytellers, and Mykko Montana has been one of the few artist to represent both since his breakout in 2012.
The Southside native first made waves with the undeniable anthem “Do It” featuring K Camp, a track that carved out a place for him in the city’s fast-moving rap ecosystem. Now, with over 118,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and a new single lighting up speakers, Mykko is making it clear he’s not just back — he’s better.
Entitled “Brian Pumper,” Mykko’s latest release is a raw, witty and playful ode to the rapper’s unique lens on everyday life. “I really rap about my life in 3 party im my everyday living and i love what i rap about,” Mykko Montana says. “I put it in my art of music.” Recorded in less than 45 minutes without writing a single bar down, the track came together quickly, driven entirely by instinct.

True to form, Mykko doesn’t shy away from bold, unforgettable lines.
When asked about his favorite bar, he doesn’t hesitate: “‘Send my girl to Rumors so she can shake haass and titties yeahhhhh’… umm it’s just. Tru story lol.” The quote reflects the track’s mischievous tone and Mykko’s unfiltered delivery — a hallmark of his style since day one.
But “Brian Pumper” isn’t just a fun record. It represents a new chapter in Mykko’s evolution as an artist.
“It means a lot because it’s a part of my new craft of how I create my music,” he shares.
That growth is evident in the energy he brings to every new project, like his 2024 release Double M, and his new single “Can’t Wait” with DJ T. Lewis which has gained traction on radio and solidified his place among Atlanta’s most persistent voices.
Unlike some records that come with drama or creative tension, this one was pure joy from start to finish.
“I actually enjoyed creating this record,” Mykko says. “It was fun, catchy and actually exciting to see me create and come up with these unique titles.”
While he didn’t look to other artists or projects for inspiration, he does give a shoutout to his longtime collaborator: “S/o to my dawg Alex Huncho.”
Mykko also revealed the production for “Brian Pumper” came courtesy of an international partner.
“He from overseas,” Mykko says. “I work hand to hand w him. Great producer, he know how to create my sound.” Their chemistry is evident in the tight, bouncing beat that perfectly cradles Mykko’s verses.
When it comes to plans for the rest of 2025, Mykko keeps it simple and focused: “Continue to release more heat.”
It’s a mission statement that fits perfectly with his independent hustle.
“All glory be to God. Fly or Crash. Shoutout to my team,” he says. “I offer a lot past music — I’m a renaissance man. It’s all independent. Got a tight team I work close with. I’m thankful for them all.”
With a discography that includes Rich Chocolate (2018), No Stylist (2021) and its deluxe follow-up, plus mixtapes like Applying Pressure, Mykko’s career arc is long and layered. Along the way, he’s collaborated with heavyweights like Young Thug and Gunna, never losing the raw edge that makes his music stand out.
“Brian Pumper” is more than just another single — it’s a loud reminder that Mykko Montana’s story is still being written. And if his recent momentum is any indication, this chapter might just be his boldest yet.
