A couple hours ago, J Cole released a new single called “Heaven’s EP.” The music video takes place in a Las Vegas hotel room, a driving car, and at certain Las Vegas tourist spots. J Cole is featured laying on the floor and wearing crocs. When he performed for iHeart Radio festival in Vegas last weekend, he was also seen wearing the same pair of crocs. J Cole has a very authentic and carefree vibe to his music video.
This music video felt more personal as we see him in the process of traveling to and from Vegas. Pairing that vibe with the song itself, the whole vibe of the video is genuine and raw. We also see clips of the Las Vegas strip as he drives through the city. The simplicity of the video allows his rap in “Heaven’s EP” to shine in the light. The video mirrors music videos of upcoming rappers.
