Sacramento’s rising star Ca$hedOutKari just made a major move with the release of his new EP, Welcome to the SouthEast, which dropped on May 27, 2025. With six hard-hitting tracks and a sound rooted in authenticity, the project puts Kari on the map as one of the most promising voices coming out of Northern California. Executive produced by Oakland’s own Dyelow, the EP offers a raw, polished sound that merges Kari’s street perspective with Bay Area bounce and Southern Sacramento grit.
Each track on Welcome to the SouthEast tells a story—about struggle, survival, and staying solid. From solo cuts that highlight Kari’s sharp pen and passionate delivery to carefully chosen features that elevate the project, this EP feels like a real moment for Sacramento’s next wave.
The lead single, “Expensive Taste” featuring Nef The Pharaoh, stands out as more than just a strong track. It’s a statement. Nef, a respected figure in Vallejo and across Northern California, co-signing Ca$hedOutKari sends a message to the industry: Kari is up next. The feature bridges generations of NorCal hip-hop and gives Kari added weight as he continues to solidify his stance in the scene.
Another standout is “Hands Hurting,” featuring Finea$$ Lanecia, a fellow Sacramento native who’s been making serious waves on her own. Together, Kari and Lanecia deliver a heartfelt, motivational anthem about the grind behind the shine. Their chemistry is undeniable and shows just how strong the talent is coming out of Sacramento right now. Both artists are not only representing their city—they’re raising the bar for it.
On “24 Hrs,” Kari joins forces with Flashy B for a relentless track about hustle, paranoia, and staying focused. Dyelow’s eerie, layered production underscores the urgency in their verses and keeps the pressure high.
The solo tracks on the EP allow Kari to speak directly to his audience. Whether touching on loyalty, ambition, or lessons from the streets, his delivery feels personal and powerful. Dyelow keeps the soundscape consistent—grimy yet melodic, raw yet refined.
With Welcome to the SouthEast, Ca$hedOutKari proves he’s not just part of Sacramento’s movement—he’s helping lead it. Backed by Dyelow and bolstered by key features, this project sets the tone for what’s next.
