Though he may have started in the fashion industry there is no doubt that San Antonio product Paris Cole is most certainly making a name for himself now in the music industry. From starting by freestyling in his high school cafeteria to now amassing over 13 thousand subscribers on YouTube more and more people are becoming familiar with the name Paris Cole.
Starting at the young age of 13 Cole began making music and freestyling with his brother, it wasn’t until high school when a clip of him freestyling at lunch went viral, gaining over 10 million views on YouTube when Cole realized what his passion really was and the reaction he was getting from people listening. When he got to college Cole built a studio in his dorm and quickly gained recognition and popularity from everyone on campus. As his popularity grew so did his passion and love of the music industry. Just six weeks into college, Cole dropped out to pursue his music career.
Now in his second year in the industry Cole has just released his newest project, Imperfectionist the Tape. The seven-song project dives into the raw emotion and lifestyle of Paris Cole himself. All seven songs showcase Cole’s versatility and spread of vulnerable emotion. The songs describe being in love, falling out of love, and the confidence it takes to overcome obstacles. “Leave me”, one of the songs on Cole’s project already has a music video that showcases Cole’s mature writing skills and versatility all while conveying emotion to the listener.
The independent hip-hop, rap, and R&B artist has very big, but very achievable goals for 2022 including making more music for his Spotify playlist, going on an unofficial tour, and reaching 100 thousand subscribers on YouTube. However, the biggest goal in Cole’s eyes is to put himself in a position to help his community and those around him. To give kids like him a voice and let them know they can be whatever they want and that anything is possible. Cole wants to inspire those around him and give back to his community. But most importantly Paris Cole wants people to know that he is the future of hip hop. You can tap into his music below!
