IOTheSinger Shares New Track “Life Is A Journey”

Once again enlisting the in-house ensemble of Chris Fisher (keys), Austin Stahle (guitar), Jon Laine (drums), Jean-Francis Varre controlled the (bass) and Frank Marchand (mixing/recording engineer) alongside Jose Bejaraño Arca, IOTheSinger delivers her latest song titled “Life Is A Journey.”

Following “I Got A Ticket” and “Beautifully Broken,” the Alt-Pop antidote centered around appreciating life’s up and down is the third single off her forthcoming project IO. True to the talented triple threat’s brand of timely tracks, “Life Is A Journey” simultaneously gives hope while healing.

In a press statement about the release, the DMV native reveals:

“I wrote ‘Life is a Journey’ in high school, not knowing it would become a song that stayed with me through some of the most difficult and most beautiful chapters of my life. Over the years, it’s helped me process loss, celebrate joy, and find strength in moments when I wasn’t sure I could keep going. This song is a reminder to me, and I hope to others, that even after setbacks and heartbreak, there’s always a way forward. Life is still worth living.”

A singer-songwriter whose range has been praised by the likes of Andra Day and Bill Nye ‘the science guy’ as well as featured on HBO at the Apollo, IOTheSinger’s journey began in the south as a worship leader in Gospel, which eventually resulted with her being a contestant on BET’s Sunday Best. Shortly after, transitioning as a student of Jazz in Washington DC at Howard University, the singer’s love of Classic Rock, Funk and Pop are heard in every performance she delivers.

As a victim of childhood and sexual abuse, she chooses to channel her electric stage presence and storytelling through performing songs that reflect freedom, rage and the vast spectrum of emotions evoked from the human experience. At her core, the DC-native and current Seville (Spain) resident embodies the act of coming home to yourself.

Sheltered growing up because of her strict religious upbringing, she was unaware that Rock ‘N’ Roll unified millions as they gathered in stadiums, arenas and other venues since the 60s to enjoy genre giants such as The Beatles, U2, Tina Turner, Coldplay, and Tracy Chapman; each with a variation of the art-form that drew in audiences for their raw talent but more importantly storytelling.

IOTheSinger would shortly after discover that her love for Contemporary Christian Music came from the feeling and history of Rock, EDM and Folk Music. That was the moment the album (named after Jupiter’s largest moon) IO, was born.

At the close of 2024, she delivered an intimate performance at Songbyrd Music House following sold out shows in Europe and earned nearly half-a-million streams via Spotify alone.
