New Jersey native Chelsea Walker is an artist who makes feel-good music that makes you want to dance and spread love. When did you start doing music?
I started doing music ever since I was a little girl around 7 I started rapping with my older brother who is a big inspiration to me. I planned to focus on music when I was younger and told myself I will wait till I’m 17 years old to go full force and that’s what I’ve been doing.
What is the first step in your creative process?
The first step in my creative process is usually me just minding my business is chilling and random words start popping in my head and then from that point I start to just go to my notes and I just start writing, or I would go on YouTube if I’m feeling very creative and inspired and I go look at beats all day and just try to make a song.
Where do you draw your inspiration from when you’re working on new music?
I draw my inspiration from past experiences and current feelings but also I’m a storyteller so I could just write music that I know people are going to relate to and I can write music that I know people are going to like.
What do you enjoy most about being a musician?
I enjoy just being able to connect with people and being able to relate to others and just make music that would definitely make an impact in their life as well.
Who is your biggest motivation?
I feel like I’m my biggest motivation I just want to be the best I just want to impact people’s lives with my music I just want to make people feel better with my music, so the people motivate me and my fans.
If you can pick any show or venue to headline which it be and why?
I would want to headline and sell out Madison square garden because I feel as though when you sell out Madison square garden you made it
