What inspired you to become an entrepreneur, and influencer? The influencer part of my brand just happened it wasn’t planned. The entrepreneur part of my brand is just in me; I’m a hustler.
How did you get your start in the industry? It kindof just fell in my lap, I was doing this for fun and I still am.
What has been your biggest career challenge so far, and how did you overcome it? As the owner of a shape wear line, you know that business can fluctuate from day to day. While some days are busier than others, it’s important to remember that slow days are not indicative of your overall success. It can be tough to stay motivated during these times, but it’s crucial not to give up on your business.
How do you balance your various roles and responsibilities? “Do I really think about it?” I often ask myself this question, but most times, I just do it.
What qualities do you think are essential for success in your line of work? Great customer service skills and being positive.
How do you stay up-to-date on the latest trends and industry news? I don’t. I prefer to do things my own way.
How do you approach networking and building relationships in your industry? When working with me, rest assured that you’ll receive more than just one plate. I always make sure to communicate my many skills and strengths that I can bring to the table.
How important do you think social media is in your line of work? Social media grants me the opportunity to showcase my products to a vast audience, making it an essential part of my marketing strategy.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to pursue a career similar to yours? Keep going, keep promoting your business. If you don’t believe in yourself then no one else will.
How do you measure success in your work? I don’t but being able to fund your business with your own money is success to me.
What has been your proudest accomplishment so far? I’m proud to say that I’ve been in business for three years and going strong.
Can you tell us about a time when you failed, and what you learned from it? When I began selling animated boy shorts for women, I didn’t have a plan in place. Although I made some money, I didn’t sell enough because I had to reduce the price to attract buyers. I discovered that strategizing, planning, and executing are critical for running a successful business.
What motivates you to keep working hard and pursuing your goals? I strongly feel that my children deserve nothing but the best.
How do you handle criticism and negative feedback? I never let negativity consume me – everyone has their own journey, and I respect that. I prefer to channel my energy into working harder and achieving my goals.
What do you think sets you apart from others in your industry? I prioritize myself and my own path, and I don’t concern myself with what others are doing. I’m always happy for everyone’s successes and never feel like it’s a competition. After all, we can all work towards success together.
How do you stay organized and manage your time effectively? To avoid forgetting important tasks, I rely on my planner to jot down everything.
What are your future career goals? I aspire to launch a store called “Snatch E’Z”.
How do you give back to your community or support causes you believe in? My goal is to provide as much assistance as possible and encourage its use.
How do you maintain a work-life balance? Devoting at least an hour each day to tackle tasks in order of importance.
